It depends on the truck. $110/hr gets you 2 movers with a 4.5-tonne truck ($80 call-out), $130/hr a 7.5-tonne ($100 call-out), $160/hr a 10-tonne, and $180/hr a 12-tonne ($150 call-out). Blankets, a trolley, a dolly and straps travel with every crew.
No. A Saturday books at the same rate as a midweek day, the calendar makes no difference to what you pay.
We bill in half-hour blocks. A job that runs two hours twenty costs you two and a half, not three. You pay for the time the move actually takes.
Three, and they're all in the quote before we start, stairs past the first flight ($10/hr per extra flight), a long carry if the truck parks more than 50m from your door ($10/hr per additional 50m), and materials, cling wrap at $50 a roll and boxes charged by quantity. It comes down to how much you own, the access at both ends, and how much is boxed before we arrive. Because billing is half-hourly, a quick, well-prepared job costs you less, the crew has no incentive to stretch it out.

Yes. Beds, wardrobes, shelving, desks, the assembly service handles it from $90/hr with tools supplied. On office relocations, the disassembly and reassembly is included on-site.
Absolutely. A packer from $60/hr can do one kitchen or a whole four-bedroom house, a kitchen typically takes our crew about 90 minutes. Every carton is labelled with its room, fragiles are marked, and an unpack at the other end can be added to the same booking.
Yes, private, locked containers from $80 a week in a CCTV-monitored, alarmed facility near our Grantham Farm base. Contracts are month-to-month, you get an inventory list for every job, and we can collect, store, then deliver to your new address under one booking.
Not the way most operators do. Your interstate load travels on a dedicated truck, your furniture isn't mixed into someone else's job and there's no depot drop along the way. Melbourne runs depart weekly, Brisbane is a regular route, and transit insurance is included.
Yes. Pianos and other large or delicate pieces are moved regularly and quoted per item, the crew turns up with the correct gear and the price reflects the real work involved.
No, but it's priced honestly, the first flight, up to 15 steps, sits inside the standard rate, and every flight after that adds $10/hr. If the building has a lift, we'll use it, lifts cost nothing extra.
You get 50 metres of carry free. Beyond that it's $10/hr for each additional 50 metres, which is why we work out where the truck will sit ahead of the crew's arrival, not while the clock is running.
Every move carries transit insurance, and we hold $20 million public liability cover. If a claim is ever needed there's a $1,100 excess and you'll need the original receipt for the item, the claim process is spelled out before you book, not after.
